Our Adventure

In mid 2013, we started our largest project yet - building a home and small farm from scratch in beautiful Eastern Washington. It will take all the experience we've gained over the years and more, with hard work and luck thrown in.

This all started with Rolo's desire for land of his own to hunt and fish, and grew into much more. After we both retired from years in the construction industry, we found ourselves bored and wanting more - a lifestyle change.

The hardest part of the journey so far was the decision to leave the paradise of the Snoqualmie Valley, our current home, for a new adventure...a simpler, self sustaining way of life that harkens back to the times of our parents and grandparents.

We have completed many construction projects together, and are looking forward to our biggest challenge yet. We have a long way to go, but hope it will be an enjoyable trip.

Our Vision

We hope to create a comfortable home with a self-sustaining farm where we can raise quality, natural foods in order to have more control over our choices and dependence on others. We know a healthy, self-reliant lifestyle is hard work, and we're willing to try.
